Ms. Kennedy-Preston is a senior-level healthcare business operations consultant. She provides clients with expertise in revenue cycle AR management, chart audits, coding education, payor contracting, mergers and start-up ventures, audit recoupment and reporting issues, credentialing with insurance payors. Assistance with state and federal licensing. In addition, Ms. Kennedy-Preston oversees business development processes in operational improvement, policy development, procedure design and implementation (including electronic health record set-up and workflows and compliance with third-party due diligence and regulatory requirements. With extensive experience in medical business operations, Ms. Kennedy-Preston also serves as a training resource to healthcare professionals in both fundamental and emerging topics critical to today’s changing healthcare landscape.

Ms. Kennedy-Preston began her career consulting for a medical management firm in the late 1990’s. From 2002 to 2013, she served in several key positions with the First Physicians Group of Sarasota, Inc., a nationally recognized physicians’ group owned by Sarasota Memorial Healthcare System. During the time frame 2006 to 2013, Ms. Kennedy-Preston served as Director of Operations; more recently, she served as Practice Administrator for two physician specialty groups.  She rejoined Kerkering, Barberio & Co. as a Senior Medical Consultant in 2014.

Ms. Kennedy-Preston is serving as a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders, MGMA, FLMGMA, Infinite Wishes Foundation and National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants
